Let's face it, summer is coming to a close and fall will be here before we know it. After the school year has begun many guys find that their wardrobe is very similar to the same one that they wore last year. In fact many men find that they have not really updated their style at all. One might be surprised how a simple accessory, like a men's leather wristband could bring a change to ones overall look and appearance. In fact if you start to think about it, you might be able to find a few ideas how to update your wardrobe without going out and buying a bunch of new things or spending a bunch of money.

In times like these, where the economy is on the down low, people simply do not have the money to go out and purchase a bunch of new clothes for their wardrobe. Many men are finding that sometimes it's simply better to tweak your appearance with items like a leather wristband or an attractive mens necklace with a tribal pendant then to starting thinking about changing your style. The main problem is most men do not even know where to start when looking for accessories to spice and heat up their current threads. Read over these few guidelines and not only will you be more likely to find a wristband or accessory for you, you might have a clearer  understanding of the look you desire to strive for.

• Is your current style working for you?

While an extreme style change in a matter of a few weeks in almost always not necessary, think really hard about your current look. Do you like it? Do you feel attractive? Do you think people look at you and say "Wow that does NOT go together"? If you do not feel bad or if you simply feel neutral about your fashion sense, odds are it is working for you just fine and you just simply need to spice it up a little.

• What style are you?

While there are too many styles to list here, I will list a few of the major ones. In fact the majority of styles will fall under these styles in some way.

Hippie – The hippie look is usually laid back and has a very natural appearance. This style seems to focus mainly on music and nature.  A good accessory for this style would be either a all natural and rugged leather wristband with a hemp necklace, or some unique pendant on a leather or corded string.

Punk – The punk style is usually somewhat gothic and can fringe along the lines of emo. One main thing these genres have in common are that they focus on the color black for the majority of their accessories and overall look. A black leather wristband with spikes or a leather choker would be a good choice for this style.

Jock – While many jocks are somewhat plain in their style more and more are turning their masculine traits into a fashionable style. Many men who have, and desire, masculine traits are turning to brands like Affliction and Ed Hardy. A tribal wristband or a necklace with a skull or similar pendant would be and ideal match here. This masculine trend however can be expensive with many of these shirts ranging from $80 to $110 a piece. Luckily if you cannot afford such items shop around at your local Target or TJ Maxx store to find almost identical styles, for a fraction of the price.

Prep – Everyone know the prep look. Sporting the newest Lacoste or Polo shirts with a pair of khaki or plaid shorts, these guys focus on money and cleanliness for their appearance. While a wristband may not be the best choice for this style other items, such as a thin silver necklace with a small unique pendant, usually can do the trick. The preppy look can usually do well with natural accessories, such as hemp necklaces and bracelets, as well.

• Lastly, Be Yourself

While these are just a few styles and variations to think about, the main thing is to simply be yourself! There is no need to fix something that is not broken. With that in mind you might realize that after thinking about how to improve your overall appearance you might find that by adding a unique and attractive accessory, such as a leather wristband or necklace, to your wardrobe you might be able to turn that old last year's style into a newer and more modern look.
